For my first "real" blog post I'll write a brief review of the Domestic Delta One product onboard a Boeing 767-332(WL) on a short hop from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

While there are not many opportunities to fly domestic Delta One in the United States, every now and then one pops up. Although it is hardly fair to compare the product being offered on a flight barely an hour long to its trans-Atlantic or trans-Pacific sibling, it is still kinda fun to say I am flying in Delta One, even if the products are not totally comparable.

Seat 5D (Domestic Delta One)

For being 23 years old, she's still looking good! Once we boarded, we were offered pre-departure beverages to get us ready for our 1 hour and 5-minute flight (which was actually shorter than that once we were airborne). But it was good to get to stretch out a bit. At 6'2, I do appreciate the leg room Delta One affords! Had this flight been longer I would have definitely taken advantage of the lay flat beds, considering I had been on my feet at Disney World the day before!

Seat 5A was equipped with the expected Delta One items: a seat that converted into a lay flat bed, a universal power outlet, 2 USB ports, a decent size IFE screen and Delta Studio noise cancelling headphones. But for the shameless av geek in me, this is what I am here for:

The views!!!
Once we were airborne another beverage and snack service was offered and then we quickly started our decent into Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
All in all, for such a short flight, it was definitely a nice way to travel! And that landing in Atlanta? Butter! Don't believe me, check it out for yourself.
Until next time, keep soaring!
